Acharya Tuna’s journey is one deeply rooted in the spiritual and philosophical traditions of India, particularly those of Hinduism and Yoga. His early upbringing in a traditional Hindu family in Odisha laid the foundation for his spiritual quest, which eventually led him to the renowned spiritual centers of Rishikesh.
At the age of 22, Acharya Tuna made the pivotal decision to move to Rishikesh, a place renowned for its association with spiritual seekers and revered masters. There, he immersed himself in the teachings and practices of Yoga and Vedanta at the Sivananda Ashram, the headquarters of the Divine Life Society. This period of his life marked the beginning of his journey as a spiritual seeker, where he lived as a Brahmachari (celibate student) and dedicated himself to the pursuit of spiritual knowledge and inner awakening.
Subsequently, Acharya Tuna delved deeper into his spiritual studies by joining the Yoga Vedanta Forest Academy course at Sivananda Ashram, where he continued his Sadhana (spiritual practice) for several years. His thirst for knowledge and spiritual growth led him to further his studies in the Himalayan Tradition at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama Dhyana Gurukulam, where he spent a decade honing his understanding of Yoga, meditation, and the inner workings of the mind.
Having accumulated profound wisdom and experience through his spiritual journey, Acharya Tuna pursued formal education in Yoga and Nature Therapy, earning a Master’s Degree from Sanskrit University Uttarakhand. This academic endeavor provided him with a solid foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of Yoga, enabling him to deepen his understanding and share his knowledge with others.
Since 2010, Acharya Tuna has been dedicated to imparting the teachings of Yoga and meditation to seekers from around the world. As the founder of Vyasa Yoga Peeth, he has established a platform for spiritual seekers to delve into the transformative practices of Yoga and meditation under his guidance. Additionally, in 2023, he expanded his endeavors by establishing Lk Holidays, a travel agency aimed at providing holistic travel experiences that incorporate elements of spiritual retreats, nature immersion, and cultural exploration.
Through his teachings, Acharya Tuna seeks to inspire individuals to embark on their own inner journey, guiding them towards self-discovery, inner peace, and spiritual fulfillment. His life’s work embodies the essence of the ancient wisdom traditions of India, offering a beacon of light for those seeking meaning and purpose in their lives.
